Cutting was employed to decorate glass. Different cutting techniques developed as the centuries progressed. At the end of the 18th century the invention of steam power allowed to speed up the process of glass making and more complex cutting styles could be applied

From vases, chandeliers, bottles, plates, jugs, bowls and glass to decanters, the collection includes a wide range of cut glass pieces that were made in different regions of Europe (Belgium, England and Bohemia) between the 18th and 20th century.
